Locating your SNID or Serial Number

How do I find my serial number or SNID?

Products that have a Windows operating system and can power on can use Acer's System Information toolto retrieve the serial number or SNID. Please click your product type below for information on how to retrieve the serial number or SNID code of your system:

ExpandNotebooks  Notebooks and netbooks

 

The serial number is a 22-character number, starting with the letter L or N, located on the bottom of your notebook or netbook. Please note that Acer serial numbers do not include the letter O, it is always the number zero.

Notebook Serial Number

The serial number can be alternatively retrieved in the Basic Input Output System (BIOS) setup pages, which can be entered by pressing the F2 key when turning the system on. It should be listed under System Information.

 

Please note that older notebooks may have serial numbers that start with 91 and are 20 characters.

The serial number is a 22-character number, starting with the letter D or P

,or the number 9 , located on a label on the desktop tower.

The serial number can be alternatively retrieved on the Basic Input Output System (BIOS) setup pages. To enter the BIOS, press the Del key when powering on the system.

The serial number is a 22-character number, starting with the letter E, M or U, located on the rear side of your Acer monitor. Please note that Acer serial numbers do not include the letter O, it always is the number zero.

The SNID code is an 11-digit numeric code, printed on a label that can be located on the back, along the side of the tablet, or inside the cover of the SD card reader.

For Android-based tablets, the serial number can also be retrieved from the tablet settings:

  1. Open the Applications tab and tap Settings.
  2. Tap About Tablet and scroll down. The 11-digit SNID code is listed under SNID.
