Adobe Flash player no longer available on Google Play Store

Why is Flash player unavailable for download on my Android tablet?

Adobe removed the Adobe Flash Player from the Google store on August 12, 2012. If you wish to install an archived version, you may follow these steps:

  1. Open Apps, Settings
    • For Android 3.x tap on Applications
    • For Android 4.x tap on Security
    and check Unknown Sources.
  2. Click OK when prompted.
  3. Go to the following link in the browser on your tablet: http://helpx.adobe.com/flash-player/kb/archived-flash-player-versions.html
  4. Scroll down to a section for Android Flash Player versions.

  5. Select the Flash Player 11.1 for Android to begin the download.
  6. Once the download is complete, press the Down arrow icon by the system clock.
  7. Select install_flash_player-1.apk.
  8. In the Adobe Flash Player 11.1 window, tap Install.
  9. Adobe Flash Player 11.1 is now installed. Tap Done.
